How To Avoid Workplace Favoritism

Q: I know from past experience that bosses sometimes favor some employees over others based on personal reasons. Now that I'm a business owner, how can I be sure I'm treating my employees fairly and not showing favoritism?

A: You're right to be concerned about this; it's a common employee complaint about bosses. Since it's human nature to like some people more than others (and bosses are people, too) you have to constantly monitor your actions and deeds to make sure you're not favoring some employees over others. PICS DocLib 3.0 Release PDF Print E-mail

itechWe have just launched a brand new Website for DocLib (http://www.doclib.net).  Paul Ciotta assisted us in the effort with the majority of the content & organization of the site.  Joe Landis was responsible for the site design.  You will notice that the content of this site is different than our previous efforts.  This site is designed as a ‘teaching site’ with a target audience of DocLib prospects.  Our goal with the site is to educate future customers not only on our product but the overall concept of Enterprise Document Management and how they can use it in their organization.  Please note the following:

  • Try to review the site from left to right.  We start out with the basics concerning Enterprise Document Management then build up in complexity, capabilities etc. as you move to the right.
  • Additional content in the forms of short video clips of certain functions of DocLib will be added to the site this week.  The videos are produced but the majority are not yet on the site.
  • Existing customers can also generate Support Requests through the Web Site, have access to Tutorials, Past Webinars and Newsletters (future) & we will be launching a discussion forum as well.
  • With the launch of the Web Site we are rebranding DocLib as a ‘Enterprise Document Management’ solution as opposed to an ‘Integrated Document Management Solution (attached).  This logo should be used as a  replacement of the existing logo on all correspondence etc.
